Employee start times for directionless clocks

When directionless clocks are used, only two values are checked:

  1. The employee
  2. The CLOCKING_DAY_START registry parameter

The Day Start Time field found in the employee settings is not used for directionless clocks, and the correct Employee User Defined Field (UDF) is not automatically created.

A new Employee UDF called CLOCKING_DAY_START with type STRING must be defined for directionless clocks to work with the time. After the employee UDF is created, the employee's day start time may be added to this field (for example, 09:00). The directionless clocks will now correctly adjust to the employee's day start.

See "Employee UDF setup" in the Infor Workforce Management LFSO Implementation and Administration Guide.

See Allocating directionless clocks to work summaries.
