Creating Employee Badge Numbers

To create employee badge numbers:

  1. Select Maintenance > Employees > Employee Badge.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Select the employee’s ID using the Employee lookup.
  4. Specify the employee’s badge number in the Badge Number field. This number must match the stored value of the employee’s physical badge or card. If you are using a PIN entry or biometric clock, this number is still required to identify the employee. However, this number can be any unique number.
    Note: The badge length has to match the server.badge.length setting in the settings.conf file on the WBCS.
  5. If the employee is going to use a biometric clock, select the Empbdg Flag 3 check box.
    Note: By default, the Empbdg Flag 3 check box is hidden. You must complete the steps in Setting Up Employees to Use Biometric Clocks.
  6. Specify 0 or 1 in the Empbdg Sup Level field. 0 indicates this employee is not a supervisor. 1 indicates the employee is a supervisor.
  7. Click Save.
