Using supervisor mode

Supervisors can clock in and clock out for other employees. They can also start and end meal breaks, change jobs, and perform other labor metric punches such as changing a Department, Project, Time code or Docket.

You should also note the following important information about using Supervisor Mode:

  • Supervisors should clock in and clock out and perform other clock punches as a regular employee and not in Supervisor Mode. This will ensure that he or she can approve his or her time records.
  • Time Approval is not enabled for Supervisor Mode and the Time Approval menu is not available. Supervisors must approve their time as regular employees, not supervisors. For more information about using Time Approval as a regular employee, see Using time approval.
  • Supervisors cannot address the missed swipes for employees when using the Scheduled Swipes feature. If a user is logged in as a Supervisor and is performing a swipe on behalf of an employee, they will not be presented with the missed swipes for the employee. For more information on viewing missed swipes see Viewing missed swipes. For more information on the Scheduled Swipes feature, see Infor Workforce Management Scheduled Swipes Administration Guide.
  • Supervisor mode requires a badge to be defined in WFM and set to Supervisor. Contact your system administrator for more information on setting this up.
