Modifying WBCS settings

The bulk of the WBCS configuration is performed by modifying the settings.conf file. The majority of the settings are determined during the installation process. However you can modify the settings to change the WBCS configuration.

The settings are grouped into these functional areas:

  • Biometric settings
  • Communication settings
  • Security settings
  • Database settings
  • Daylight saving time (DST) settings
  • E-mail settings
  • General settings
  • Log settings
  • Message settings
  • Modem settings
  • Rule settings

  • Synel standalone clock settings
  • Time synchronization settings
  • Virtual clock settings
  • XML communication settings
  1. Launch the Admin Console and connect to the WBCS.
    See Using Administration Console.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click on any node to expand the node.
  4. Right-click on any setting you want to modify.
  5. Select Modify Value from the menu.
  6. Specify the new value.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Update Server.
