Enabling PIN validation (HTML clock)

PIN authentication is enabled by default in the application provided a PIN number is provided in the Employee Badge. If PIN authentication was previously disabled, follow these steps to enable the feature.

  1. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Readers.
  2. Click the Edit link next to the reader.
  3. Deselect the Disable PIN Validation (not selected by default).
  4. Click Save.
  5. Select Maintenance > Employees > Employee Badge
  6. Click the Edit link next to the employee badge.
  7. Enter a PIN for the employee.
    To apply this change to many employees, import the PIN numbers into the employee badge records.
  8. Click Save.
