Upgrading WBCS for Linux/UNIX

  1. Stop the clock server process.
  2. Download the latest setup file from the system using wbcs_setup_*.bin.
  3. Launch the installation file with the ./wbcs_setup_*.bin -i console command:
  4. Select option 2 for Upgrade and press Enter.
  5. Specify the absolute path for the upgrade of the Clock Server. You must choose the directory that contains the previous installation of WBCS. Press Enter.
The installer begins the upgrade of WBCS. The upgrade replaces the existing .jar files with updated versions, but does not modify any settings files.
  6. The Pre-Installation Summary page is displayed. Review the options and press Enter when you are ready to upgrade.
Note: New settings introduced in product releases are not automatically included in the upgrade. To determine which new settings you want to use, refer to the Infor Workforce Management Release Notes.
  7. Launch the Admin Console and connect to the WBCS.
  8. Click the Settings tab.
  9. Right-click on any setting.
  10. Select New Setting.
  11. Copy the setting from the release notes. Copy everything to the left of the = sign and paste the copied information into the Key field.
  12. Copy the value from the release notes. Copy everything to the right of the = sign and paste the copied information into the Value field.
  13. Click OK. The setting is added to the file and is displayed in the appropriate branch in the Admin Console, not necessarily the branch from which you selected New Setting.
  14. Click Upload Server to have the WBCS load the new changes.
  15. Start the WBCS process.
