Configuring a swipe request timeout

You can configure a web service timeout (default of 5 seconds) that will accept a last swipe without validation, even though the clock is offline and not communicating with the WFM application. After the timeout is reached, the clock will not perform validations that require a last swipe such as consecutive type and break length.

To change the timeout setting from the default of 5 seconds, you can modify the wbsynch.webservice.swiperequest.timeout setting in the settings.conf file by using Admin Console.

1. Connect to the clock you want to update with Admin Console.
2. On the Settings tab of Admin Console, right-click the wbsynch.webservice.swiperequest.timeout property and select Modify Value.
3. Enter a value of true and click OK.
4. Restart your clock for the changes to take effect.
