Enabling web services for clocks

Web services, which the clock uses to communicate with WFM, are disabled by default for clocks. You must complete these tasks to enable web services for clocks:

  • Each clock must now connect to WFM using a user that belongs to the new Clock Web Services security group. Only users assigned to this security group will be able to connect to the axis/services/ or clock web services that the clock uses to connect to the WFM application. Users assigned to the Clock Web Services security group will not have access to the WFM application itself.

For convenience, a CLOCKUSER user has been created in the WFM application that belongs to the Clock Web Services security group.

For more information on creating users and configuring security groups in Workforce Management, see Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.

  • Enable web services for clocks in WFM by setting the RESTRICT_WSDL_CLOCK registry parameter to false. For more information on this parameter, see Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide.
