Using PuTTY

PuTTY can be downloaded from http://putty.nl. Download the latest release version available on the website.

  1. Run the file.
  2. Specify the clock’s IP address in the Host Name field.
  3. Click Open.
    The Login as: field is displayed.
  4. Specify root.
  5. Specify the root user’s password. The default root password is !nf0r@T5.
    Note: To change the default root password, see Changing the root password.

You are connected to the 9000 in a Linux command shell. From this prompt you can run the majority of Linux commands.
