Setting the Budget Type in LFSO

Configure LFSO to use the payroll dollars from Labor Budgeting as a scheduling constraint only after publishing the plan to use as a scheduling constraint. Otherwise, there are no payroll dollars in the plan, because there is no published plan. This configuration constrains the schedule to zero payroll dollars, which means that nothing can be scheduled. For information on publishing a plan to LFSO, see Publishing and Unpublishing Payroll Data to LFSO.

You can configure LFSO to use the payroll dollars from Labor Budgeting as a scheduling constraint by setting the Budget type in LFSO to Store Labor Budgeting.

  1. Select Select Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Location.
The Location General Setup page is displayed.
  2. Select Store Labor Budgeting from the Budget Type lookup.

This selection instructs LFSO to use the payroll dollars for this location in Labor Budgeting as a scheduling constraint for this location in LFSO. You configure this option using the Do not exceed budget, Use schedule to budget, and Schedule to Ownership scheduling rules. See Configuring LFSO Budget Constraints.

The Store Labor Budgeting option triggers the following callout:

    com.workbrain.app.modules.budgeting.wbinterface. LongTermBudgetSOCallout

The callout pulls the payroll data from a published plan.
