Location timeout clock validation rule

If you have set up the geofencing clock validation rule for mobility, the location timeout clock validation rule will check if the system was able to retrieve the user's location in the time allocated. If a timeout occurs while an employee attempts to perform a clock transaction on their device, then the clock will be prohibited by the system. In this case, a configurable clock validation error message will be displayed on the employee's device. The error message provides specific information about the nature of the problem if the system encounters an error when attempting to retrieve a device's location.

Note: This clock validation is ignored if the geofencing clock validation rule has not been set up. See Setting up the geofencing clock validation rule for mobility.

By default, location timeout clock validation is enabled for the MOBILITY Clock reader type. If you want to remove location timeout validation that was previously configured for a mobility reader type, see Disabling location timeout validation.
