System security

Security settings limit or grant user access to specific portions of the application. All end users, teams, and groups should have security settings that are specific to their role. The security model is based on a team system, in which all users are linked to teams, and privileges are granted for each team to the specific forms, pages, fields, buttons, and employees within the application.

System security involves these measures:

  • Passwords: Stored in the database using a secure one-way hashing algorithm.
  • Encryption: The application uses 128-Bit Secure Socket Layer encryption and HTTPS to scramble and unscramble the transmission of all components transparently.
  • Digital certificates: Enable the servers and client browsers to verify that the exchanged information is protected from interception and alteration.
