Teams

Team structure should be considered when creating billboard groups. Billboard group configuration determines which teams can post shifts to the billboard and which teams can pick up those shifts. Billboard groups can be designed as restrictive, where only specific teams may claim posted shifts. Alternatively, billboard groups can include many teams and sub-team hierarchies to create a wide pool of employees who may claim a shift. Billboard groups can allow employees with temporary team membership to claim shifts. They can also only allow home team members to claim shifts.

The team association of a shift determines if the shift can be posted to a billboard group. Teams are given permission to post shifts to a billboard group. When manager posting is enabled, this allows unassigned shifts to be posted for the team. When employee posting is enabled, any employee can post their shifts that are associated with the team, regardless of the team affiliations in their employee profile.

Teams can be given access to a billboard group to claim shifts. This allows all the employees affiliated with the team to claim shifts posted to the billboard group.
