Rule: Minimum Consecutive Rest Between Days

This rule specifies a minimum number of hours that employees must rest between scheduled shifts on adjacent days.
Overview

The Min Consecutive Rest Between Days rule determines whether an employee has at least the specified amount of rest time between scheduled shifts on adjacent work dates. This rule validates the amount of unscheduled time between the last shift on a date and the first shift on the next date. When these two shifts are scheduled with less than the minimum amount of rest time, a violation occurs.

This rule ignores the rest time between shifts that are scheduled on the same work date.

Violation Area
Violations count against the date when a shift is scheduled with less than the minimum rest time after the last shift on the previous date.
Example
For example, employees must have at least 8 hours rest between scheduled shifts on adjacent work dates.
