Setting bid preferences

You can set bid preferences, if preferences are an option for that schedule bid. These preferences are used to assign you shifts or shift patterns if you do not bid or if the bid mode allows preferential scheduling assignment.

A list of fields that are available for defining preferences is displayed. You can specify or select the values of the fields that you want to include in your preferences.

  1. Select Maintenance > Optional Modules > Schedule Bidding > Employee Schedule Bids.
    You can also access this page through a link in the notification message that was sent to you indicating your bid window.

    If access is configured, you can also open this page by selecting Schedule Bidding from the menu in the Self Service Portal.

  2. Click the Set Preferences link beside the schedule bid for which you want to select preferences.
  3. Specify values indicating your preferences for the fields. You must use sequential values, with 1 ranking the highest.
  4. Click Save.
