CLOCKS_EDLA_FROM_NEXT_SCHEDULE

Description

This parameter controls the labor metrics that are applied for ON-OFF clock pairs that do not overlap a work detail.

When set to True, for each ON-OFF clock pair, the next closest work detail is used to set the labor metrics for the clock pair. This is the default.

When set to False, for each ON-OFF clock pair, the employee default labor allocation (EDLA) is used instead for the clock pair's labor metrics.

For example, consider this scenario:

  • An employee is allocated to Job A as per their employee default labor allocation (EDLA).
  • The employee is scheduled from 17:00 to 21:30 on Job B, which is used to get the initial work detail.
  • The employee clocks on at 7:30 and clocks off at 16:00, which does not overlap the initial work detail.

By default, the labor metrics from the next closest work detail are used for the ON-OFF clock pair. In this case, Job B is applied for the clock pair. To use the labor data from the employee default labor allocation (EDLA) instead of the next closest detail, set the registry to False. With this setting, Job A is applied for the clock pair.
