Creating a One-time Schedule template

Any One-time Schedule (OTS) that was not created from a template can be used to create a new OTS template.
  1. Edit the OTS you would like to use to create the template.
  2. Click Activate as Template.
The Save as Template pop-up is displayed.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
Specify a name for the template.
    Description
Optionally, specify a description of the template.
    Start Date

Enter the earliest date that the template can be used for scheduling. The date range selected for the template must include the entire date range defined in the source OTS. The start date defaults to the day after the last published OTS.

When you load a template for the purpose of adding a new row, it must follow the same logic.

    End Date
Enter the latest date that the template can be used for scheduling.
    Template Length
Enter the template length in days. The template length determines the length of the shift rotation that is used to populate new OTS schedules.
    Staffing Requirements Template
Optionally, specify a Staffing Requirement Template (SRT). The specified SRT is automatically populated as the default SRT when creating new OTS schedules using this template.
    Auto Row Naming
Select the check box to automatically number rows based on the row order. Clear this check box to allow row names to be updated manually.
  4. Click Continue.
The OTS template is saved and can now be used to create new OTS schedules.
