Employee assignments in One-time Schedules

Employee assignments may be changed in a One-time Schedule (OTS) that is in any status. After making changes to assignments, the OTS must be processed to publish the schedule changes to employees.

Employee assignments are connected between OTS templates and the OTS schedules they are used to create. Rows in new OTS schedules based on an OTS template are automatically assigned to the same employees that the rows are assigned to in the OTS template.

Changes in employee assignments in OTS schedules can extend to other OTS schedules that are based on the same template. For example, the Cardio team has an OTS template that has been used to create separate monthly OTS schedules for May, June, and July. Bob is scheduled for the full duration of all three monthly schedules. Bob then must be unassigned between May 15 and June 25, because he is loaned to another team. The scheduler removes Bob's assignment for those dates in the May OTS schedule. This has these effects on the OTS schedules:

OTS effective dates Affected by unassignment? Dates Bob is scheduled
5/15/31 Yes 5/15/14
6/16/30 Yes 6/256/31
7/17/31 No 7/17/31
