Work Detail Import

Schedules in MVS are automatically adjusted to avoid conflicts with long-term absence (LTA) overrides that are imported using the Work Detail Import interface. This prevents schedules from going into invalid states when LTA overrides overlap with MVS shifts.

Shifts are adjusted when an LTA override is imported that overlaps the shift time. Shifts that were created as ad-hoc shifts or that were generated from a shift template are unassigned. This includes both published and unpublished shifts. Published shifts that were created in a Master Rotation or One-time Schedule are sent to the Relief Queue. When shifts that overlap an LTA override are unassigned or sent to the Relief Queue, a Workmail notification is sent to the employee's home team supervisor.

Pending requests, such as Shift Billboard requests or shift swap requests, are rejected when the associated shift is unassigned or sent to the relief queue. Pending time off requests are retained.

Note: It is not recommended for customers using MVS to perform work detail overrides or schedule detail overrides using the Work Detail Import interface. Imported schedule modifications may cause mismatches between MVS data and timesheet data or other undesired results.
