Simple shifts
Simple shifts are shifts without a predefined shift configuration. Users can create
simple shifts on an ad-hoc basis. Simple shifts are created with one work or on-call activity
and, optionally, one or more break activities. Simple shifts can be edited after creation to
modify its activities or to add additional work, on-call, or break activities.
Instead of a shift label, simple shifts are represented in scheduling screens using the shift's start and end times. These times are based on the work and on-call activities of the shift. The times used to represent the shift are updated when users make edits to shift details. The time formats used to display simple shifts are determined by the locale settings of the current user.
