Using the Generate Workload process

This process is typically used for testing that the forecasted volumes are correctly converted to workload before the schedule generation process takes place.

With version 2023.10, a parameter, AUTO_UPDATE_WORKLOAD, was delivered. This parameter, if set to true, automatically refreshes workload when the forecast changes. This parameter is set to false by default. Customers who want to use AUTO_UPDATE_WORKLOAD must set it true. More information is available in the Registry Parameter Reference Guide, which is available on Documentation Central (docs.infor.com).

  1. Select Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Schedule > Generate Workload.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify the location, start date, and staffing requirements options.
  4. Select the Include sublocations check box.
  5. Specify 7 days in the Length field.
  6. Click OK.
The workload is created and displayed in an interval based grid.
Note: The interval grid is displayed in a pop-up window. You may need to disable your pop-up blocker to see the interval grid.
  7. Use the drop-down to switch between staff requirements within the grid.
  8. Make any required changes to the workload.
  9. Click Save to save the workload for use in the schedule optimization process.
