Scenario: Data subject will modify the System Scheduling Enabled field

For the following scenario, the data subject must have access to the Workforce Management application, meaning that the employee must have a corresponding user.

If the data subject will be updating the System Scheduling Enabled field directly in Workforce Management, you should consider the following:

  • If an employee has access to their employee record, they can update the field through the Employee Basic Information - Override page. This change, like any other employee override, can be made date effective and have an end date. An alert should be setup that will send an email to the employee's manager about the update.
  • You can create a form using the Form Builder feature that allows the employee to update the System Scheduling Enabled field. Infor recommends that the workflow send an alert to the manager letting them know that the employee has decided to opt-out of (or opt-in to) the auto-assignment feature. The form should clearly state that by opting-out and setting the System Scheduling Enabled field to N, the user will not be auto-assigned by the scheduling module.
