Security for the TimeTrack clock

Before you can access the TimeTrack clock on your supported device, a system administrator must complete several security-related steps in WFM and TimeTrack with your supported device. This section outlines the steps required for you to access the TimeTrack clock on your supported device.

To access the TimeTrack clock, there are several security-related steps that as a system administrator must first complete. These are some of the required steps that are also documented in this section of the guide:

  1. Configure a supported device with a supported browser in Kiosk mode. For more information, see Configuring your supported browser in Kiosk mode.
  2. If you are using TimeTrack in a cloud deployment, then you must register your supported device in WFM. You must log in as a system administrator using your Kiosk mode browser and register your device using TimeTrack device registration.
  3. If you are using TimeTrack in an on-premises environment, then you can choose between device registration or an IP address whitelist to secure your device. The /system/WORKBRAIN_PARAMETERS/TimeTrack_Reader_Identification registry parameter disables device registration so you can use the IP address whitelist.
  4. Access the TimeTrack URL at <WFM application URL>/timetrack.
  5. For cloud deployments, you can also disable or delete registration for your devices to suit your business requirements. After a device is disabled, it cannot be re-enabled. You are required to re-register the device.
