Loading the clock program for basic mode

After the initial power-up, if the clock displays the message WAITING FOR PGM the clock program is already loaded. However, if this message is displayed:

IP Address
###.###.###
BLD YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM

where ###.###.### is an IP address and YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM is a date and timestamp, the WB6000 does not have a clock program loaded. You must load the clock program supplied by Infor. To load the program, you will require access to the WFM application, network file access to the server running the clock server, and the Admin Console.

  1. Copy the clock program from Infor (clock program files have a .dld extension) to a directory on the clock server. Make note of the full path.
  2. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Readers.
  3. Click Create New Entry. The Readers Detail page is displayed.
  4. Specify the clock reader's name in the Reader field. The name is only used to identify the clock. The name can be any unique name.
  5. Specify a description of the clock, such as the clock’s physical location, in the Description field.
  6. Select the reader group to which the WB6000 belongs using the Reader Group lookup.
  7. Specify the IP or MAC address of the clock in the IP Address field.
  8. Specify 0 in the Reader Zone field that represents the clock's area. This field is required by the WFM application, although for the WB6000 the entry can be 0.
  9. Select the clock reader's time zone using the Time Zone lookup.
  10. Specify the full path of the directory on the clock server in which the clock program file was copied (in step 1 above) in the Rdr Cmi Dlfile field.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Ensure the message Your changes have been saved is displayed.
  13. Launch the Admin Console and connect to the clock server. See the Infor WFM Clock Server Guide.
  14. Browse to the DBUpdate thread, right-click on the thread, and select Run Now from the menu.
  15. Click Terminals.
  16. Ensure the WB6000 you are installing has a download file value.
  17. Right-click on the clock and select Update Clock from the menu. The clock downloads the program and reboot itself.
