Installing and Configuring the WB5500 Series Clock

The WB5500 Series Clock (WB5500) is used by employees to record the times they start and stop work. The WB5500 runs the Linux operating system, maintains a dedicated file storage system, and communicates directly with the application.

Swipe transactions and data are transmitted to and from the clock reader and the application server using Web Services over standard HTTP and HTTPS ports.

This section provides system administrators with instructions on installing the WB5500 Series Clock. To perform some of the tasks described in this chapter you must specify information using the clock’s keypad. See Using the Clock Keypad.
