Removing a secondary or support employee from an assignment

This topic explains how to remove a secondary licensed employee or support employee from an assignment.

A primary employee cannot be removed from an assignment. If a primary employee cannot take care of patients, for example, because they called in sick for their day part, any patients assigned to the primary employee are removed from the assignment and assigned to other primary employees.

  1. Select Clinical Science > Assignments > Patient Assignments.
  2. On the assignment panel, select the ellipsis (3-dot) menu that corresponds to where the secondary or support employee is assigned.
  3. Select Unassign. On the Unassign screen, select the secondary and support employees to be removed from the assignment and then select Unassign.
