Configuring Patient Care Type value mappings

Patient Care Types identify where in the facility a patient is treated. Examples of Patient Care Types are Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency.

The value mappings for patient care types must match what was configured for Patient Care Types in Clinical Science setup.

If the patient care type value mappings provided by Clinical Science require updating for your site, follow these steps.

  1. Select Clinical Science > Setup > eHR Interface > Value Mappings > Patient Care Type Value Mappings.
  2. Locate the type to be updated. You can use filtering or move through the list.
  3. Click the Edit link next to the type to be updated.
  4. Perform configuration as required on the Patient Care Type Value Mappings - Details page.
    • Specify an updated or new name as required in the Primary eHR name or add a Secondary eHR name.
    • In the Secondary eHR message field, specify the name. The secondary message contains additional information that users at your site might expect to see for a patients who have been assigned this care type.
    • To add a new patient care type, click Create New Entry, locate the type that the new type is based on from the database look-up and specify your values in the appropriate fields.
    • To remove a patient care type that is not used at your site, click Del.
  5. Click Save.
