Before you begin

Before you begin the migration process, confirm or complete these steps:

  1. Confirm that you have the appropriate security privileges in WFM to access the source and target environments/instances of WFM. In general, you must be an Infor System Admin user in WFM which will give you Edit access to the maintenance forms found under Maintenance > System Administration > Data Migration and allow you to perform a data migration.
  2. Confirm that your source and destination environments are on the same WFM application versions, database and overall technical stack. For example, you may have WFM version 2021.8 deployed with an Oracle database on your source and target instances. You can access this information in Maintenance > System Administration > Diagostic Toosls > System Information.
  3. Confirm that you have network access to the source and target migration environments that will be part of the migration.
  4. Configured an SFTP server for the transfer of the migration file between the source and target instances of WFM. Further information on this step is found in Step 1: Configuring the migration environment.
