Configuring the Time Off Request form for relief shift generation upon approvals

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit.
  2. Start the Form Builder applet.
  3. On the File menu, select Open.
  4. In the Bus. Object tab, select Time Off Request.
  5. Click OK.
  6. On the form, click a field with the value N near the right side of the form.
  7. Verify that the name of this field is isEMVS.
  8. Change the value to Y in the bottom section of the left panel where the properties of the field are shown.
  9. On the File menu, select Save to save the changes.
  10. Exit from the Form Builder.
The Time Off Planner form provides three options for the associated relief shift statuses:
  • Unfilled
  • Pending
  • Relief Not Needed

If you require both the “MVS-mode” and the “normal mode” behaviors for approving time-off requests to support MVS and non-MVS user groups, then you can clone the Time Off Planner form. Use the clone to create the preceding configuration only for the form that is intended to be used by the MVS group. This arrangement allows the original copy of the form to remain unmodified for the non-MVS user groups. Use the system security configuration to display the correct version of the time off request form to the appropriate user group.
