Confirmation

After you click Export Now, the Payroll Close Wizard displays a confirmation message that indicates the export process has been initiated and an e-mail confirmation will be sent after the file has been generated.

The same Confirmation page displays whether an on-cycle or off-cycle Payroll Close is selected.

To exit the Payroll Close Wizard, click OK.

E-mail confirmation

After the Payroll Close process has completed, an e-mail message is sent to the user that initiated the process. The e-mail notification is sent in the event of a successful or unsuccessful export.

The e-mail message for a successfully generated payroll export file lists the pay groups and employees that are to be exported. Also included in the e-mail message:

  • Date the export file was created
  • Time the export file was created
  • Status of the export (successful)

The e-mail message for a payroll export file that did not get generated contains this information:

  • Name of the user that submitted the Payroll Close
  • Status of the export (failed)

A separate e-mail message is sent for every Payroll Export Task (PET) that is used. If a single Payroll Close uses multiple PET XML mappings, multiple e-mail notifications are sent, each with a list of associated pay groups.
