Employee information

Employee information is typically imported into the application from an external Human Resource (HR) Management system. Any changes to the basic employee information should be performed either in the HR Management system or directly in this application using the Employee and Employee Override pages.

The Employee page lets you access this employee information:

  • The Employee – Details section contains basic employee information such as name, employee ID, and various types of dated information. The information in this section can be imported from an existing HR or ERP system. The Employee - Details section is non-editable within this form as the section contains date-effective information, which must be edited using the Employee Override page.
  • The Employee Data section defines information that is specific to the client’s company. This information may play a part in specific business rules or processes, or may simply be information that is not covered in the Employee - Details section. For any information that cannot be placed in the existing data locations, you can add an unlimited number of employee data fields. These fields contain informational data elements such as phone number and address.
  • The Employee Job section displays the jobs that an individual is qualified to perform. The jobs may also be used in labor allocation. The application can be configured to offer jobs only to employees who are qualified for those jobs.
  • The Employee Reader Groups section identifies the names of the collection of individual readers that employees may use for clocking in and out. Since facilities can be quite large, employers can specify which clock readers an employee can use to clock in and out. This feature reduces the amount of time for walking from the reader to the assigned work area and ensures employees are in close proximity to their actual work area when clocking.
  • The Employee Teams section identifies the home team and the temporary teams to which employees belong.

Additional sections are also displayed on the Employee page.
