Configuration of WFM application session timeouts

In versions of Workforce Management prior to 6.2.4.0, session timeout was controlled by the application server session timeout configuration. As of version 6.2.4.0, the new WebAppSessionTimeoutMinutes registry parameter allows you to override the application server session timeout settings and directly control session timeout from within WFM. Infor recommends this approach to control Workforce Management sessions.

You should note the following about session timeouts and this registry parameter:

  • Set this parameter to a value higher than 0 to override the default application server session timeout for Workforce Management.
  • Set this parameter to the default value of 0 to use your default application server session timeout(if configured) for Workforce Management sessions. The length of the default session timeout will vary by application server vendor.
  • Set this parameter to 480 minutes for Ming.le deployments of Workforce Management. This setting ensures that a user is still not logged in to Infor Ming.le when Workforce Management times out.

Note that you must close the browser and open a new start a new session for the changes to take effect.

Note: If you change the value of the WebAppSessionTimeoutMinutes registry, the session timeout of existing sessions will not be affected.
