Changes to notification bar My Employees and My Staff widget

Workforce Management provides managers with information about the current work statuses of the employees under their purview. In the desktop, this information is displayed under the My Employees control of the notification bar. In Mobile WFM, the employee status information is displayed within the My Staff widget.

These changes and enhancements were made to these status widgets in this release:

  • The design of the My Staff widget has been updated to improve the at-a-glance readability of the status widget stats.
  • New employee contact controls were added to the My Staff widget to make is easier for managers to contact employees directly from their mobile phone.
  • The logic used to determine when employees are At Work or Absent has been updated to make it easier to understand who is currently at work and who is supposed to be at work, but isn't. With the new logic, employees are considered to be At Work when their current clock status is ON regardless of their schedule and Absent when their current clock status is OFF during their scheduled work times.
  • New status-related data elements were added to the status widgets to provide additional insight as to where the employee might be (if they are absent) and what time it is where they are.
  • A new option was added to include/exclude non-clocking employees from the status widgets. This option lets you decide whether non-clocking employees with paid default labor should be assumed to be "at work" during their schedule.
