Changes to Employee Self-Scheduling

This release focused on simplifying self-scheduling configuration and enhancing the user experience in ETM. Employees can now be associated with a group for an effective start and end date. As well, the concept of group set has now been added to make process configuration easier. A self-scheduling process still controls the date ranges from which employees can select shifts, but the process page has a new look and feel. Lastly, shifts to be self-scheduled come from a new template, versus the old staffing requirements.

The Self-Scheduler calendar not only has a new look and feel, but new logic to help an employee choose the most suitable shifts. For instance, a shift that causes an error is not displayed in the calendar, because the employee would have to correct their selection ultimately. Scheduling rule information is also displayed so that employees know which shifts satisfy the rule(s) that pertain to them.
