Unpublished Status

Rotations and One-time Schedules now have the option of producing shifts that are in the “unpublished” status. Shifts in the unpublished status can be viewed and managed in the Advanced Schedule View, but do not appear on the timesheet. This option allows scheduling processes where employee visibility into schedule information is undesirable during the schedule planning phase. Schedulers can now create unpublished shifts from master rotations and one-time schedules, and complete the balancing of schedules in the Advanced Schedule View, before publishing the schedule and making the schedule visible to the employees on the timesheet. The Shift History also begins tracking when unpublished shifts are created from Master Rotation and One-time Schedules.

The option where Master Rotations and One-time Schedules produce published shifts, also remains available.

As part of this enhancement, the task in the Job Scheduler that is responsible for handling schedule publish has gained an option. The option controls whether the task will process Master Rotations only, One-time Schedules only, or both schedule types. This added level of configuration allows further separation of results from the two scheduling vehicles.
