Partial approvals in the Time Off Planner

For time off requests spanning multiple days, supervisors can now approve a subset of the request (partial approvals). For example, when approving a 5-day request from an employee, the supervisor could approve the first four days of the request and deny the fifth day. Or the supervisor could approve three of the five days and leave the other two days as pending until a final decision is made.

Similarly, if an employee submits multiple partial day requests on the same day, supervisors can also partially approve the request.

When a supervisor partially approves a time off request, the employee receives a notification that provides the status (approved, pending, or denied) for each day of the request. For partial day requests, the times are also included in the notification.

Supervisors are not be permitted to alter the dates or times themselves or to specify new dates or times. In those cases, supervisors can deny the request and ask the employee to enter a new request for the alternative dates or times.

See "Time Off Requests" in the Time Off Planner Guide.
