Accessing the Self Service Portal through Infor Ming.le or using a direct URL

In Infor Ming.le implementations, users access WFM using the Infor WFM option in the app switcher. After selecting Infor WFM, users are directed to the appropriate application depending upon the default application that is set for their security group.

In stand-alone implementations, users access WFM using a direct URL on their browser. After logging in, users are directed to the appropriate application depending upon the default application that is set for their security group.

Users with access to both applications can switch between them after logging in. In the Self Service Portal, a drop-down at the top of the application menu lets users switch to the Admin Portal (desktop application). In the desktop application, an icon in the header menu lets users switch to the Self Service Portal.

Note: The desktop application (Admin Portal) is not supported on a phone or tablet.

To access the desktop application, users require VIEW or EDIT permission to the GENERAL_ACCESS maintenance form. Users without this access cannot access the desktop application or switch to the desktop application from the Self Service Portal.

To access the Self Service Portal, users require VIEW or EDIT permission to the SS_PORTAL maintenance form. Users without this access cannot access the Self Service Portal or switch to the Self Service Portal from the desktop application.

Users without access to both applications receive an error message when they try to log in.

Note: Users cannot access the Self Service Portal when proxying as another user. The hybrid pages do not support proxy users.
