Hiding the shift swap and give away buttons
The Swap and Give Away buttons can be hidden based on security permissions to disable shift trades for users in specific security groups.
- Tap Home on the application menu.
- Tap the Settings button at the bottom of the application menu to enter config mode.
- Tap the configuration icon second from the right at the top of the page.

In the Shift Actions section, tap the security icon beside one of these
fields:
- Give Away
- Controls the Give Away button, which lets a user give a specific assigned shift to another user. Note that to hide the shift give away feature, you must also hide the Give Away All button.
- Give Away All
- Controls the Give Away All button, which lets a user give away a shift from a list of their assigned shifts on a date.
- Swap
- Controls the Swap button, which lets a user trade a specific assigned shift for a shift assigned to another user. Note that to hide the shift swap feature, you must also hide the Swap All button.
- Swap All
- Controls the Swap All button, which lets a user trade a shift from a list of their assigned shifts on a date.
The Security Configuration window is displayed. -
For each security group, select Deny from the Permission Flag drop-down to hide the
button, or select Act to show the button.
Note: The button is available for users in security groups that do not have a permission flag specified.
- Tap Save and close the window.
- Repeat the steps above for the other buttons as required.
- Tap the Settings button at the bottom of the application menu to leave config mode.
- Reload the page for the changes to take effect.
