Recalling an approved time off request and assigning shift

When recalling an approved time off request for an employee, you can also assign them a shift.

For example, an employee was unscheduled on Friday and has an approved leave on that day. You can recall the approved time off request on Friday and assign them to an ad-hoc shift on that day.

  1. Display the ASV view in which you want to book time off for an employee. See Displaying schedules with ASV.
  2. Click the Edit Mode icon in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. Select Details Edit.
  4. Select the LTA time code that you want to recall. The details edit mode panel is displayed below the LTA time code.
  5. Click Recall and Add Shift.
  6. Specify this information:
    Unit
Select the unit or team that you want to assign the employee to.
    Shift
Select the shift that you want to assign the employee to.
    Job
Select the job that you want to assign the employee to.
  7. Click Recall. The LTA override on that day is canceled. On the Time Off Calendar, the request is set to a Recalled status. In addition, the shift is added to the employee's schedule as an ad-hoc shift. The ad-hoc shift is recorded in the Shift History logs.
Note: An error is displayed if the ad-hoc shift overlaps with the employee's existing schedule.
