Function icons

The upper right corner of the Schedule panel displays icons that provide you with these functions:

  • Schedule Balance

    This check box can be selected to enable Schedule Balance mode when ASV is in the Simple Edit or Details Edit modes. When Schedule Balance mode is enabled, you can perform edits simultaneously for multiple employees. A limited set of shift editing actions is available in Schedule Balance mode.

  • Compliance Violations

    Indicates that there are compliance violations in the schedule. If there no violations, this icon is not displayed. Click on the employee name to open a window with more details on the violations.

  • New Ad Hoc Shift

    Adds a new ad-hoc shift to the schedule.

  • Filter

    Filters the schedule information using the same filter criteria that is available in the Selection panel.

  • Sort By

    Sorts for Primary Sort and Secondary Sort that is available in the Selection panel.

  • Display Options

    Provides options for displaying additional information in the shift cells in the calendar view:

    • Availability: Displays availability information.
    • Start/End Time: Displays time range information.
    • Job: Displays job information.
    • Unit: Displays team information.
    • Preference: Displays employee preference information.
    • Activity: Displays activity information.
    • Shift Description: Displays a fuller text description of the shift.
    Note: Displaying additional information can reduce the number of days that you can see the calendar view. The number of days is reduces because the additional information causes each shift cell to enlarge. The cell enlargement causes the calendar to loose days.

    To see the maximum number of days, minimize the additional information.

  • Print

    Prints the schedule or saves it to PDF format. Select the page size from the Page Size drop down, and then click the Print button to start printing.

  • Edit Mode

    Select one option:

    • Simple Edit

      Adds a new shift by copying and pasting a Shift Display Label. This option is similar to adding an Ad hoc shift.

    • Details Edit

      Displays details for a selected shift.

    • Mass Edit

      Selects multiple shifts at once. When you select this mode, the pencil icon is displayed with the other function icons. Click the icon to display a list of options for mass editing.

  • Relief

    Sends your selected shifts to the Relief Queue

  • Publish

    Publishes all unpublished shifts.
