Skills in Master Rotations and One-time Schedules

Skills can be added to rows in a Master Rotation (MR) or One-time Schedule (OTS). Adding a skill to a row adds the skill as a prerequisite for employees to be assigned to the row. A proficiency level must be specified for each skill, which becomes a secondary prerequisite for assigned employees to meet. Duplicate skills, with the same skill name, cannot be added to the same row.

Employee skills are checked when an employee is assigned to the row and when the schedule is processed. The skills on a row and the specified proficiency levels are compared with the skills and proficiency levels in the assigned employees' profiles. Assigned employees must have all the skills on the row and be at or above the specified proficiency levels to satisfy the row's skill requirements. A warning message is displayed for employees that do not have a required skill or are below the required proficiency level. If the skill they do not have is specified as mandatory, the assignment is invalid and the employee cannot be assigned to the row or must be unassigned before processing the schedule. If the skill is not mandatory, the warning message can be dismissed to keep the current employee assignment.
