The updated details are validated for these conditions:
    • The assigned employee has the job and skill qualifications required to perform the shift.
    • Updating the shift does not cause schedule overlaps with other shifts or LTAs in the assigned employee's schedule. When lengthening a shift that overlaps a later shift, a warning message is displayed that the later shift will be shortened if the edit is completed. If the shift overlaps an LTA with a Time Off activity type or fully overlaps a later shift, an error message is displayed and the edits cannot be completed.

If no warnings or errors are found, the shift is updated.

  8. If warnings or errors are found, perform one of these options:
    • If only warnings are found, click Submit again to accept the warnings and perform the shift edit. Or, update the selected options or click Close to cancel the edit.
    • If any errors are found, update the selected options or click Close to cancel the edit.
