Removing Employee Assignments

You can remove employees from staffed shifts, leaving the shifts unstaffed.

You can configure the following Remove functionality behavior using parameters:

  • Whether Remove functionality is available for both published and unpublished schedules or just unpublished ones (ALLOW_REMOVE_WITH_PUBLISHED)
  • Whether or not a Remove operation should create an unstaffed shift (CREATE_UNSTAFFED_ON_REMOVE)
  • Whether or not to prompt the user to decide whether or not an unstaffed shift should be created when the employee removes a shift (SHOW_CREATE_UNSS_ON_REMOVE_PROMPT)

For information about these registry parameters, see the Registry Parameter Reference Guide.

To remove an employee assignment to a shift:

  1. From within any view, click the shift you want to unstaff.
  2. Click Remove.
The shift is displayed as unstaffed and the removed employee is returned to the unassigned pool of employees.
