Showing schedule detail flags and UDFs on the schedule pages

If user-defined fields (UDFs) or user flag fields (FLAGs) are used to capture schedule-related information, you can add these fields to the schedule pages. For employees, the data stored in employee schedule detail UDFs or FLAGs may be important to their work schedule.

Using field-level security, you can configure these schedule pages to show UDF or FLAG fields:

  • My Schedule widget on the homepage (includes one day preview on phone)
  • My Schedule page (detail view)
  • Co-Workers page (detail view)
  • Team Schedule page (detail view)

On each schedule page, up to 10 UDFs (UDF 1 to UDF 10) and up to 10 FLAGs (FLAG 1 to FLAG 10) can be shown. To show a UDF or FLAG field, configure the permission of the corresponding field to VIEW. On all these pages, DENY is the default permission for all the UDF and FLAG fields.

Note: On schedule pages, UDF and FLAG fields are view-only. Users cannot edit schedule detail flags and UDFs.

For details on configuring the schedule pages to show UDF and FLAG fields, see Field-level security.

Note: You must also update the field control of the UDF or FLAG field. See Configuring the field control of a UDF or FLAG field.
