Full Schedule Regeneration

If full schedule regeneration is required in the home location, we recommend that you cancel any borrowed employees from the schedule before proceeding with the regeneration. Failing to cancel borrowed employees can result in undesirable effects. These effects can develop in both the home and borrow location schedules. These schedules are affected because the Optimizer cannot recognize loaned and borrowed shifts.

On home location schedules, regenerating can delete any shifts assigned to that employee in the borrow location. Regeneration may also schedule a loaned employee to shifts in the home location during the borrow period. The borrow period is the time when the loaned employee should not be scheduled in the home location.

If full schedule regeneration is required in the borrow location, the shifts belonging to the ELaB employee within the borrow schedule are deleted. However, the ELaB employee's shifts in the home location schedule will be preserved.

Also, the Time and Attendance module may try to apply the Time and Attendance logic for handling overlapping cases. This logic may truncate the older overlapping shift on the overlapping time periods.
