Clock Rules

These clock rules can be configured to fire when an employee clocks IN or OUT through ETM, mobility, or the Self Service Portal:

  • Failed to Clock Out. For more information, see Rule: Failed to Clock Out.

    This clock rule is actually an alert that fires a certain number of minutes after the shift ends. The Failed to Clock Out message is sent to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Clock in Early. For more information, see Rule: Clock in Early.

    The employee is not allowed to clock on earlier than a certain number of minutes before their scheduled start time without supervisor authorization.

  • Unscheduled Clock. For more information, see Rule: Unscheduled Clock.

    The employee is not allowed to clock on if they are not scheduled to work on that day.

  • Minimum Length of Break. For more information, see Rule: Minimum Length of Break.

    The employee is not allowed to clock on from a break until a certain number of minutes have elapsed.
