Setting the Clock System Information

The first step to installing the WB5500 is setting the system information, such as the IP address and DNS Server, during the startup configuration. You must connect the WB5500 to power and your network using one of these supported connection types: Ethernet (TCP/IP) 10/100, or ISDN/Modem connections. Once connected, the WB5500 automatically powers on.

Use the clock’s keypad to set the system information, and follow these conventions:

  • The 0 button is used to specify special characters or symbols. Click 0 several times quickly to cycle through the characters or symbols.
  • To move your cursor right, press the green button.
  • To scroll right between options, press the green button.
  • To scroll left between options, press the red button.
  • To delete the last character you typed, press the red button.
  • Click the clear button to exit all configuration and start the clock application.
  • To specify letters, use keys 2-9 like a telephone’s keypad.

As you complete the configuration, the clock displays different setup screens. There is a timeout period of 5 seconds on the screens. If the clock is idle for five seconds, the configuration exits and the clock continues the start up routine.
