Step 1: Create a reader server named IOMOTION

Note: Before completing the tasks in this section, you must ensure that you have web services enabled for clocks. For more information on how to do this, see Enabling web services for clocks.

A reader server must be created for each type of clock that is connected to the application.

To add a reader server to support the integration of Kronos 4500 and InTouch (9000/9100) clocks:

  1. Select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Reader Servers.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Reader Server
    Specify IOMOTION for the name of the new reader server.
    Description
    Specify a description of the new reader server.
    Reader NT Service Machine Name
    Specify the name or IP address of the machine where the reader server is installed.
    Reader Server Type
    Select the type of reader server being used from the lookup. In this case, specify WBCS_SERVERTYPE.
    Last Processed History
    Specify 0. This field is the number of records in the change history table that is populated by the application automatically. The number in this field represents the latest change history record that is processed. When creating a reader server, leave this field blank.
    In Params
    Not used in the current version of the application; leave this field blank.
    Out Params
    Not used in the current version of the application; leave this field blank.
  4. Click Save.
