    Create New Budget/ Forecast
Select this check box only if you are importing the data into a new plan.

Do not select this check box if you are importing data to update an existing plan.

If you select this and a plan with the same parameters already exists in database, an error message is displayed and the task does not run.

    New Budget/Forecast Name
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is selected. Type the name of the new plan.
    Existing Budget/Forecast Name
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is cleared. Use the lookup to select the name of the existing plan into which to import the data.
    Root Schedule Group
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box above, is selected. Specify the root schedule location for the imported data. This location and the New Budget/Forecast Name, above, together determine whether a matching plan already exists in the database. The data is imported to all the locations below the chosen parent location that are present in the import file.
    Time Period
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is selected. Use the lookup to select the root time period for the new plan.
    Type
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is selected. Specify whether this imported data is a budget, forecast, or actuals. The default is budget.
    Rule Group
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is selected. Select the root group to apply to the imported plan when the plan is displayed on the Worksheet. This field sets the rule group that is displayed for the plan on the Forecasts and Budgets page.
    • For a budget, the default is DEFAULT BUDGET RULE GROUP.
    • For a forecast, the default is DEFAULT FORECAST CREATION RULE GROUP.
    Import Rule Group
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is selected. Select the rule group to apply to the plan when it is imported and moved to database. The rules included in this group generally perform data aggregation and recalculation only. There are rules for budget import, budget solicitation, actuals import, forecast approval and forecast generation.
    • For a budget, the default is DEFAULT BUDGET RULE GROUP.
    • For a forecast, the default is DEFAULT FORECAST CREATION RULE GROUP.
    State
Select one of the following states for imported data:
    • Initial: when importing a new budget.
    • Locked: when importing the final numbers for the master budget.
    • No change: when importing updates to a plan. Note that you cannot import data to a new plan in this state.

    See States.

Note for Budget Management: When importing data to update an existing plan, if you select Initial, the root location becomes Pending and all the others are set to Initial. You can only update an existing plan if its current state is Locked, because otherwise, it may be in the middle of a solicitation process.

    Layout
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is selected.

Select the layout template for viewing the new plan. For information about layouts, see Setting Up Layouts.

When updating an existing plan, the existing layout is displayed in read-only format.

Note for Budget Management: The layout also determines whether the view is Phased or Real Time for the solicitation process. See Real Time and Phased Views.

    New Layout Name
Enabled only when the Create New Budget/Forecast check box, above, is selected.

Specify a name for the layout for the plan. The plan will be displayed in this layout on the Worksheet.

  12. Click Submit to save the new interface task settings.
    A confirmation page is displayed.
  13. Click Submit to acknowledge that the update is successful.
The Task Schedules page is displayed.
  14. Click Run Now to initiate the task.
The system updates the Next Run column with the latest run time.
  15. Click Log to view the results. Wait a few minutes for the log to be updated with the latest run details.
