Availability Change Request Approval

Employees can edit their default or temporary availability patterns, request time off (such as for vacation) or require an override due to special circumstances (such as for a doctor’s appointment). When they do, supervisors have to approve the changes or requests. For information about editing default and temporary patterns and submitting them for approval, see Employee Availability Tasks

Supervisors can view availability change requests, determine whether the requests will cause under staffing, evaluate requests based on the employee’s previous availability and comments, and then approve or reject the requests.

When you click Approve Availability Requests on the Employee Availability - Selection Parameters page, the Approve Availability Requests page is displayed. It lists all of the employees you selected in the Employee lookup and the days in the week based on the selected start date. You can use this page to view availability summaries.
